The Victory Parade

In June 24, 2020, The Military Uniform Museum of the Russian military historical society and The Victory Museum will present a joint project-the exhibition “The Victory Parade”.

The exhibition is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of The Victory parade on The Red Square on June 24, 1945 and will be held in The Military Uniform Museum on Bolshaya Nikitskaya street from June 24 to September 22. This is the first experience of cooperation between the two largest museums of military history in the capital.

“The exhibition will combine memorabilia related to The Great Victory and the anniversary parade on red square. Together with The Victory Museum, we will present unique exhibits, among which one of the most valuable and interesting is the dress uniform of the senior commander of the Soviet Navy of the sample of 1943.”(Elena Sinitsina, Director Of The Military Uniform Museum)

Also, visitors will be able to see the Gold Star medal, the Order of Glory, the medals “For the victory over Germany in The Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945” and “For the capture of Berlin”, passes for entering The Red Square on the day of the parade and other authentic items.

The Victory Parade

The exhibition will be supplemented with photographs, picturesque portraits and will be placed on the permanent exhibition of The Military Uniform Museum “Uniform for a Hero”.

The project was implemented with the support of the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian military historical society, and The Department of culture of Moscow.

The Military Uniform Museum continued acceptance visitors on June 16, 2020.
