Today starts the "Cultural arsenal" - a project about the mutual influence of art and the army, about outstanding figures of national culture who are directly related to the armed forces. every day until december 25, inclusive, we will publish video tours, podcasts and historical photos on the museum's website.
Director of the Military History Museum of the RMHA Elena Valeryevna Sinitsina solemnly opened the project, the main characters of which are writers and poets, artists and composers whose creative heritage is directly connected with the military events of Russian history: Alexander Sumarokov, Gavriil Derzhavin, Mikhail Lermontov, Pavel Fedotov, Lev Tolstoy, Nikolai Gumilev, Vasily Vereshchagin, Alexander Tvardovsky, Bulat Okudzhava and others. The stories of their lives, in which the army service and the service of art are closely intertwined, will be presented in photographs and documents, rare printed publications and graphic images, elements of military uniforms, equipment and faleristics.
